  1. The Riels had a great start to the game outshooting the Vics 10-4. But, after 20 minutes of play there was no score after one period.

In the second period, Captain Nic Burmey would score the first goal of the game and the first goal of the year. Assists went to Matthew Lehmann and Dawson Braun. The Vics would push back and answer with two goals before the end of the period to take a 3-1 lead going into the third period.

In the third period, the Riels could not get another one past the Vics goaltender.  The Vics would add to their lead with an even strength and power play goal. The Vics come away with the win.  Riley Plett made 24 saves in his MMJHL debut.
