The first period was filled with goals. Seven in total. The Vics would get on the scoreboard first with a partial breakaway goal. The Riels would answer back. Dawson Braun would win a clean faceoff that went back to Brett Lefko and he made no mistake. The Vics would get regain the lead with a powerplay goal. Two minutes later, rookie forward Cory Chrapun would tie the game up with assists going to Owen Stebnitsky and Dawson Braun. The Riels would take advantage on the powerplay scoring two back to back goals. Both goals came from Captain Nicholas Burmey. With under a minute left in the first period the Vics would score. 4-3 Riels after one period.
In the second period, the Vics would score early on the powerplay. The Riels would answer back restoring the lead. Leading rookie scorer, Owen Stebnitsky would score his 8th of the season. Assists came from Austin Kossack and Nicholas Burmey. The Vics would score two consecutive goals to take the lead going into the third period.
In the third period, the Riels had a few opportunities, but could not get back in the game. The Vics would end up scoring a late goal in the third period and win 7-5. Tyle Gagliardi was busy, making 39 saves in the loss.
